Midnight Paradise

Midnight Paradise. Mt. Rainier National Park, Washington - 7/09/12. This July, the fireworks I will remember most were not made by human hand. I was visiting one of my favorite spots on earth, Mt. Rainier, and had spent the early evening near a part of the National Park called Paradise. At around 5400 feet it was the perfect place to experience the most amazing lightning storm I've ever seen. As the storm moved around and past the mountain, saying its goodbye with periodic flashes of light, a silver moon slowly rose and lit up the scene, turning my evening visit into a Midnight Paradise.
