For the second time in the past few years, I found myself exploring Washington at the end of summer. This time it was the rugged coastline of Olympic National Park. Not only did the calendar signal The Equinox…the decisive change of weather made the shift of seasons extremely clear. Like the sunset divides night and day, this evening heralded the end of a long dry spell and brought on, the very next morning, the rains that will now visit this landscape until next spring. What a beautiful way to say goodbye and hello at the same time.
